From blank page to sent campaign in 10 minutes

Once your sending domain is connected, a campaign takes four steps: choose who gets it, let AI draft it in your brand's voice, pick when it goes, and clear the pre-send checks. With your contacts imported and your brand set up, that is about ten minutes from a blank page to sent.

Before the clock starts

The ten minutes is honest only if three things are already done. Each is a one-time step:

  • Your sending domain is connected. You publish a short set of DNS records at your DNS provider, once. After that, we keep the records current for you, and key rotation and DMARC step-ups are one click each. DNS changes can take a while to be visible, so do this first, not ten minutes before a launch.
  • Your contacts are in. Import a CSV and map its columns to contact fields.
  • Your brand is set up. In Brand Studio you enter your website address and Email Digit builds a brand from it: colours, fonts and the tone of your writing. You can edit any of it. If a site blocks the fetch, you get editable defaults rather than a made-up brand.

Step 1: Audience

Pick a segment, such as Champions, Newsletter subscribers or All active contacts. Each one shows a live count. You can also exclude other segments, for example leaving out people currently on a trial.

The audience step then shows exactly who will receive it, line by line:

LineWhat it means
In segmentEveryone the segment matches
SuppressedUnsubscribed or bounced, removed
ExcludedIn a segment you chose to leave out
At weekly capAlready emailed as often as your weekly limit allows, skipped
NetWho actually receives it

The lines add up to the net number, and the net number is who the campaign is sent to. If it is zero, the send button stays off and tells you why.

Step 2: Content

Write the subject yourself or press Write for me. Turn on an A/B test to try two subject lines; the winner is chosen by reply rate, not opens. Add preview text, the snippet shown after the subject in the inbox.

For the body, open the Email Builder from the composer. Describe the email in a sentence or two and AI drafts the whole thing using your active brand, then you edit it block by block. When you are happy, press Send test to get a copy in your own inbox, check it on your phone, and continue back to the composer. For a short plain message you can skip the builder and type a simple version straight into the composer.

Step 3: Schedule

  • Send now. It starts sending as soon as you confirm.
  • Later. Pick a date and time.
  • Optimized. Choose an hour, and each recipient gets it at that hour in their own local time.

Step 4: Review

The review step runs the pre-send checks against your real audience and your real email. The ones you will see most:

CheckWhat it looks at
Spam-score lintPhrasing that spam filters tend to flag
Link and redirect checkLinks that go through URL shorteners, which can lower trust
Suppression scrubHow many unsubscribed or bounced contacts were removed
Domain and DMARC healthThat your sending domain is verified, and where its DMARC policy stands
Frequency capHow many contacts are skipped for hitting their weekly limit
Email contentThat the body is a real message, not an unfinished draft
Physical addressThat a postal address will be added to the footer, as the law requires
Sending allowanceThat this audience fits what you can send today
Monthly email allowanceThat it fits what is left of your plan this month

A failed check blocks the send. A warning asks you to acknowledge it, and most carry a link to the exact screen where you fix it. Fix it there and you land back on the review step with your campaign as you left it.

A realistic ten minutes

  1. Pick the segment and read the net number: one minute.
  2. Generate the subject and the email, then edit the copy: five minutes.
  3. Send a test and look at it on your phone: two minutes.
  4. Choose the timing, clear the checks, send: two minutes.

If your domain is not connected yet, start there today and send tomorrow. Plans and limits are on the pricing page, and the marketer's tour shows the composer in more detail. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial, card required, cancel any time.
